Virtual Reality in the Travel Agency

Since the 1980’s, there has been such a fast-paced change in the way that we communicate and learn When our boys were small, we had an Atari computer that we all thought was an incredible machine. Fast forward to today and a person can wear a computer on their wrist.

I just read two interesting articles in the weekly publication that we receive in the travel agency. The first one was about a Virtual Reality headset that connects to a smartphone and allows the clients to experience a destination. A client comes into the office with the idea that they want to go to somewhere warm in the winter but aren’t sure where they want to go. I could pop my smartphone into the headset and they would get to experience Jamaica, the Dominican Republic or maybe Guatemala in Virtual Reality while sitting at my desk. Want to experience what it is like travelling on the Rocky Mountaineer? Just sit back and take it all in. It is an interesting concept and we will see how it is received.
